Dalhousie Agricultural Campus Extended Learning Meat Cutting Courses
Starting in January 2018, the following courses are offered:
• Basic Meat cutting (3 days) – January 16,17,&18 – Tuition is $1925
• Poultry Cutting (1 day) – January 19 -Tuition is $625
• Advanced Meat Cutting (3 days) – January 23,24, & 25 – Tuition is $1925
• Poultry Cutting (1 day) – January 26 – Tuition is $625
• Meat Processing (6 weeks) – January 29 – March 9 – Tuition is $9500

Note on Courses and Funding
Dalhousie Faculty of Agriculture, Extended Learning is offering meat cutting courses on campus. The Nova Scotia Federation of Agriculture has applied for funding to support the tuition costs of these courses to our qualifying* farm members. We are still awaiting the final approval from Department of Labour and Advanced Education, but encourage interested parties to contact NSFA to register.

*If NSFA is successful in funding from WIPSI, your farm business is eligible if:
• Located in Nova Scotia
• Registered with Joint Stocks (there are some farm exemptions)
• 30% of activity is derived directly from the farm business
• Been in operation for at least 1 year
• Has $25,000 in wages or owners drawings
